Self Contained Maze Burr In this version you do not need to take apart the frame to reprogram the sequences that are at the heart of this beautiful puzzle. This puzzle gets its name because it also stores 5 extra maze plates within the structure. These are concealed underneath the green wood. Upon solving it, you may unearth these extra mazes and use them to reprogram the puzzle to a more challenging sequence. Only 10 copies were made. The beautiful green wood is called Lignum Vitae, which translates to "tree of life". It is known for being one of the densest and oiliest woods. It is so dense and resistant to moisture that it has been engineered for the use of ship propeller bearings in some cases. It is also believed to have medicinal qualities too.
